THINGS TO ENHANCE YOUR STAY

The cottage is uniquely equipped with antiques and fine crockery and linens to make your stay a luxury one.  Guests have chosen to spend their special occasions here especially - Christmas, engagements and anniversaries rate highly. The Bright event calendar also gets many guests choosing Mrs Simpson because we are central and private,  enabling you to partake in festivities at your leisure and retreat when desired.

With two bathrooms, one including tub in which to soak after a day of activities, guests can enjoy the cottage together whilst maintaining their privacy.  Whilst with an open fire for the winter your stay in every season is sure to be a fine one. Longer stays are simplified by full laundry facilities including iconic 1960s 'Hills Hoist'.

The cottage has a front deck to enjoy a glass of wine and see life pass by, or alternatively contemplate the large private garden by whiling away on the back deck equipped with BBQ, outdoor setting and potager garden. During summer months we leave guests equipped with small chairs to take down to, and indeed into, the Ovens River at the back gate. Another perfect spot to read a book, have a glass of wine and just watch (duck) life pass by.

PET FRIENDLY

Mrs Simpson is pet friendly for well behaved dogs.

We have a fenced dog area that will hold all but the most serious escape-artists. Bright is very dog friendly, so it is an option rarely used. Bright's cafe's can be enjoyed with Buster, some even have open lawns to allow you to be part of this town's culinary offerings with your best friend right at your feet. But there is no need for that as your dog can roam the garden whilst you enjoy Norala Garden in privacy, breakfast - lunch - or dinner!
